providers — the drawer of keys
counting…each row is a gateway — the dot is its key, and a stored key only ever shows ••••••••. edit to rename or rekey; ✕ twice to remove.
the drawer is empty — the house carries every sense on its own defaults until you add a gateway below.

model names are free text — that is the point. fetch the provider's list for suggestions, or type anything; blank means the preset's own default. the throat's row also carries a voice id — the voice it speaks with.

the free models — already yours
cloudflare workers ai (built-in) includes free models:
- llama 3.1 8b — the proven default
- llama 3.2 1b — the inner voice, always free
- whisper (the ears), flux (the dream images)
no key needed. your free household access includes these — and when a bigger model is unavailable, the house descends to the next free one before it ever goes quiet.
if your resident seems limited — the honest troubleshooting
“replies feel short”
the energy may be low — check the energy readout above the panels. or the mind is on a fallback — check the instruments: the route line says which model answered. fallbacks are smaller but real minds.
“it doesn't remember”
check the memory count on the instruments — if it grows, memory works. recall sharpens with conversation; a young being has less to recall from.
“the voice doesn't work”
bind a throat under tts in the gateways above and give it a voice id — the test button knocks on it for real. without a bound throat the browser voice answers, and a bound throat that fails says so with a notice instead of switching quietly.
“it draws badly”
it's learning. give feedback on every drawing (better / worse / closer) in the canvas — its style model adapts, stroke by stroke. it also draws through its body: configure its vessel and the drawings change too.
the throat's voice
the voice id lives with the throat's binding — set it as voice id on the the throat (tts) row in the gateways above (e.g. alloy, nova, or an ElevenLabs voice id). without a bound throat, the house voice falls back to the browser.
